Walk to Defeat MND The first ever Walk to Defeat MND in Gladstone is on to help those impacted by Motor Neurone Disease. This is an awareness and fundraising event to be held on Saturday, March 23 at the Gladstone Marina Parklands from 9am. All funds raised are to be donated to MND Queensland. In conjunction with the Walk to Defeat MND, George Parkyn of FND Artworks is collaborating to produce a 6x4 foot coluorful, hand-painted artwork. The artwork will pay tribute to Matt Downey, his Wife Kelli and their family and friends and others who are suffering from MND or who have lost a loved one from this disease. MND supporters and Art Lovers to come and dip their hands in paint to participate in this special project which represents the supporters and helping hands of this disease. The artwork will be auctioned later in the year at a MND Cocktail Function, details to be announced. Food and beverages will be available at the event. Coffee will be provided by Li-Ko Coffee and Creations. Please bring cash and coins for donations. There will be merchandise available on the day and a raffle (tickets can be purchased for $5 each or 3 for $10) for a chance to win some great prizes. Cash or card payments are welcome.
