It’s in their blood

Gladstone local Graham Gilmore recently hit a very impressive milestone at the Australian Red Cross Gladstone Blood Donor Centre – 350 donations.

Each and every blood donation has been made at the Gladstone Donor Centre, so I guess you could say he is almost a part of the furniture.

Graham is a passionate donor and donates as part of the ‘Bleed 4 Brent Lifeblood team’, a group of people who donate in memory of their friend or family member, Brent.

Bleed 4 Brent promotes blood donation and bone marrow donor registration in memory of Brent Holland, who fought leukaemia before passing away in February 2017

Graham’s 350th donation was even made on the plasma machine named after Brent!

Cancer patients, trauma victims, and newborn babies are just a few of those who will need blood

The Gladstone team had a fantastic response to their Christmas appeal, but more donations are still required.

Giving blood and plasma doesn’t cost anything, but for a patient it is life changing.

To check opening hours and give the gift of life, call 13 14 95, visit lifeblood.com.au or download the Donate Blood app.
