Retreat Sells out

A self-care retreat happening in Thangool in May has already gained immense popularity from women in and around the Biloela area.

After moving to Biloela three years ago, Erika Allison started her own business focussing on women’s health and wellness.

Erika said having her own retreat has been a dream of hers for the last few years and now after months of planning, it is beginning to become a reality.

The retreat will be the first of its kind in the Biloela area with the goal of allowing women to take some time out to focus on taking care of themselves physically and mentally.

“I’m a mum of three as well, so I’m helping my clients to relax, feel good and love themselves without any distractions,” she said.

“I’m hoping to teach these women that they need time for themselves and not just working and being a mum all the time.”

While the retreat is not until the first week of May, the 20 to 25 spots for the retreat sold out within the first two weeks which came as a surprise to Erika.

To meet already popular demand, Erika extended the retreat an extra day for Sunday 5 May.

The two-day retreat will include activities such as yoga, self-defense, Zumba, a fermenting workshop and many more.

One of the yoga instructors attending this retreat, Carla Henney said some women who will be attending will be coming down from as far as Gladstone for this retreat.

This will be something different for the local community.

“Because it is a collaborative effort, this will hopefully bring more exposure for local businesses,” Carla said.

“And with the exposure, the retreat could go further than Biloela and Gladstone.”

At present, Erika is looking to run this retreat twice a year, but since it is in the early days, the frequency of these retreats will depend on the feedback and turnout from the first session.

All in all, Erika is excited to be collaborating with so many local businesses and to bring something new to the Biloela community.

The amazing ladies that will be part of the collaborative Beauty Wellness Self Care Retreat include Harri-rae designs, GRAZE. by Gabby, Flavia’s Cakes, Namaste Nellie, Nourishing with Nadine, Zumba Fitness with Carla, G G Fitness, Hunter Training, FMRM, DreamLife PT and Massage

and FromEmma with.love.
