Inspiring a better world

It was a great turn out for the Zonta Club of Gladstone International Women’s Day Breakfast this year.

Held Sunday, 10 March at the Gladstone Entertainment and Convention Centre, ladies were treated to delicious breakfast, special guest speakers and sweet fellowship.

Zonta Club organisers especially thanked their fellow Zontians, Area Director Robyn Liddell, President Margaret Esdale, MC Debra Lawrie, the Service Committee and Club members, Glenn Butcher the member for Gladstone, Minister for regional development manufacturing and Water, and Mayor Matt Burnett, Councillor Natalia Muszkat and inspiring Guest Speaker, Saskia Groenintwoud.

The Young Women in Public Affairs award this year went to Bianca Duong, and the Living Treasure Award to Bev Fellows.

Zonta International support a variety of international and local projects, providing donations, awards and services that empower women of all ages, help them to improve their status and achieve their aspirations – building a better world for women and girls.
