MIRIAM VALE GOLF CLUB

We had our annual Walter and Eliza Hall Cancer Day on Wednesday, 13 March.

It was a wonderful day but sad to see so few join us for this great day out.

It was overwhelming to see all the prizes and food that was brought to the day from so many who are not members of our club. This happens every year and we thank you all for your support.

The day raised $1063.50 which will go to the Walter and Eliza Hall Medical Research Institute for cancer research.

We had 25 play golf in a Nine-Hole Two-Person Ambrose, it was so good to see some of the girls who are attending the Clinics for Women and Girls in Golf join us. We welcome them to our club.

We had 12 play or help with the Hoy, thank you Sue K and Joyce for calling the Hoy.

Thank you everyone for your help, the food was amazing and of course thanks to Don for helping in the bar. Plus, the course is in great condition.

Thank you to the boys Josh, Anthony and Matt who joined us, we do hope you enjoyed your day.

Just a note of interest when speaking to the Walter and Eliza Hall Medical Research Institute this afternoon I was told that the Miriam Vale Golf Club Lady Members have been raising funds for this Institute since 1980 and raised a total of $34,900 over these last 44 years, plus this year’s donation … how good is that?
